I've been seeing a lot of discussion regarding learning, and apparently, how you can only learn through reading books... WRONG!
Personally, I have always found that I learn best through Auditory and Visual Learning.
There are three ways that an individual can learn:
- Visual (sight)
- Auditory (listening)
- Kinesthetic (physically doing something)
Studies have shown that the majority of entrepreneurs reflect a visual and kinesthetic learning pattern, however, as entrepreneurs are well aware; there is no one size fits all. I have watched TED talks for over three years now and I wanted to share which talks I found most insightful - especially for any entrepreneurs.
1. Educating Young Entrepreneurs
This talk is my personal favourite as I strongly believe that the primary and secondary education systems both refrain from entrepreneurial desires, and lean more towards textbooks and linear income pursuits.
2. How Great Leaders Inspire Action
Simon Sinek is not only a memorable communicator, he is also a practical change maker. His ideas and multiple visionary desires all include the concept of 'why' - something that we should all embrace.
3. Radical Wisdom for a Company, a School, a Life
Philanthropy is overly underrated in today's world. This video explicitly shows how leadership empowers, not destroys one's vision and growth opportunities. If you have watched both videos above, you will be able to see how this piece of the puzzle is necessary to envision great things into the future.
